He completed his General Surgery and Urology training through Michigan State University at Metropolitan Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. 

Dr. Stirling is a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
